I'm rather pleased to get a message, that 2 quilts won a first place in Road to California…. it was so nice to receive an e card message of congratulations from the organizer…. woo, that's never happened before.
My Rhino and our group quilt, Color comes to the Back of Beyond won first prizes.
It came about as a reaction to a sad situation where one of my quilts was deliberately damaged at a quilt show and a rather disappointing falsified letter was sent to an organization.
I didn't want to be part of a community like that. Enough said, but years have passed and at the urging of my Teaching peers I now look at competing with renewed acceptance. It happens, sadly but I'm not the only person on the receiving end of ignorance.
Right now, I'm working on a special quilt to go to Dublin in June… so other than the Bayeux, and the Alphabet book that's my goal for the year.
Congratulations Pammy, well deserved.
(So other than? Really)
Congratulations Pam, am sitting in the beautiful Tassie sun at Bridport.
Well done!

Greetings from snowy Pennsylvania.
Congratulations! I love the detail on the rhino. I wish I could see him close up.
I’m not sure how cake lady in green gets to have two different backgrounds. I keep finding more intriguing details.

Pam! Your group quilt won BEST GROUP quilt! Congrats!
Sandra ( one of the judges) and typing badly late at night. 😉
Congratulations! Well Done! Bravo!
Your unfortunate story is intriguing. . . I can imagine it was difficult getting back in the “game”.
Cheers!

Well deserved wins for 2 spectacular quilts. It’s a treat to see them again.
I was thrilled to see them hanging. Then, doubly thrilled to see the ribbons. Congratulations!
