Our Day – “Glad that’s over”

6.00 am and the coffee was steaming and the toast made. Miss Tilly, her Mum Rachael and Grand dog Jack with his bed, arrived in a rush and we went through the motions of repacking the contents of their bag into a cute orange one.

Grandpa was in his Jamas on the exercise bike…….!!!

It was just dawn when we left and I explained my concern that the Koalas have been using my car as a trampoline and rest room….. So we decided that Tilly could write a story about that.!!!!

I dislike hospitals, for the past 60 years I spent so many hours there visiting my Mum.

But Tilly was just going to have her tonsils and adenoids out….. "don't forget the adenoids" she says.

Rachael had explained everything that was going to occur and she even rehearsed counting backwards figuring that if asked she could do it in Japanese……!!!!  I don't think she got that far actually….

She was so good…. it was over in an hour and she was back in the bed with her beloved "Morris" the bear and new Ipad. She's written a lovely story about Morris….

It's a very passionate and very sad story influenced by her school project on the Great wall of China her Uncle Jamie filming in China and the movie Annie…. so I have to put it into book form…. "Morris had a hard luck life"

I Love it…….

So that was most of my day…. but tonight I get to work on some more notebook quilts.

Oh bless her dear sweet soul! What a big day for Miss Tilly. I’m so glad the extraction was just for her tonsils and adenoids and not her imagination. Otherwise Morris might get stuck in China with an even sadder story to tell!
I hope Tilly bounces back quickly.

Good to hear all went well for Miss Tilly. Imagine her energy level now that she’s won’t be slowed down with tonsil issues!
