Each day is more spectacular than the next.

Its 10 pm and I’m sitting in the lobby trying to do this, it’s the only place I have decent internet.
This morning we visited the Amber Fort.
Amer Fort or Amber fort, is situated on a forested hill premonitory, above the Maota Lake near Amer village, about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Jaipur city, the Capital of Rajasthan. It currently sits near the National Highway, which goes to Delhi. A narrow jeepable road leads up to the entrance gate, known as the Suraj Pol or the Sun Gate, of the fort. Elephant rides are also taken through narrow passage through the Sun Gate.
We took the Elephant ride and I hung on for dear life after my first experience on an elephant… (I fell off)
It was jolly difficult hanging on the 3 cameras while the elephant swayed and I kept slipping… my legs stuck straight out, I’m too short for the seat or whatever you call it.

I’m rather lost for words a what we’ve experienced today… The fort was beyond all my wild imaginings. The designs took my breath away. Such talent, so ancient and just plain stunning. Luana and I just stopped, looked at each other and gave each other a hug. It was more than we thought it would be.
I can’t add more tonight, BUT, we visited the textile printers, the carpet makers, the fabric AND we came across an amazing festival, but that has to wait till tomorrow.
