I have a program on my iPad called Sketchmee and it converts a photo to a sketch. It enhances the color and I have learned so much from using this program. For instance, look at the way it has covered the shadow of the shoes… I love it.

Time to go
All things must come to an end but this time I’m a little sad to leave behind the friends who have shared this amazing trip with us. I’m writing this in the plane on a short 35 minute trip from the Lodge in the Maasai Mara to Nairobi. Our Group. We drove in…
The experience of a life time
I’m sitting in my room as I write. The doors to my balcony are open and I feel at one with my immediate environment. I can hear the sounds of birds and the occasional utterance of an unknown animal. The vista is superb and I don’t think I will ever forget it. Soft clouds are…
Our Kenya Experience
We could hear them in the distance, there was an occasional trumpet from a very small trunk. We couldn’t see them, they were behind the trees.  The  enclosure we stood around had lots of huge baby bottles full of milk unceremoniously piled in an old wheel barrow. Suddenly from out of the bushes a  line…

It's not beautiful, its supposed to be provocative and the images are from my own experiences of people on the streets in Thailand, India and Mexico. The Artist statement will give a detailed description of the quilt. It…
Finally back on track.
The housework is completed and the gardener had been consulting about the new work they did in the garden. It all sounds rather grand, but it's not fancy and it's so nice to have someone take that responsibility and give Keith and I more free time. This guy in my tree is enjoying a brief…
Travel – you need to be prepared for anything.
I woke early, at least a couple of hours earlier than I needed to. There was a sense of urgency. A few things have happened in the past few days that I can't add to the blog…. but lets just say that a situation arose where lives were put at risk. (mine included) I truly…
