Norway, – Converting my travel images to textile art. How do you do it?

Gals on the road -learning about creativity.

We’ve had 5 days in Santa Fe and its been the most wonderful experience. There is so much to like about this city. Everyone we’ve met has been very helpful and a pleasure to visit with. We’ve made a lot of new friends.

I love the climate at this time of the year but the locals tell me it’s a little hot for this time of the year. I’m a very visual person. Everywhere I turn there is beauty and things that I’ve never seen before.

To say that Santa Fe is unique is an understatement.

Photography is my passion and I was keen to capture the light and ambience of this majestic place. However, I really wanted to see and photograph the ‘wave’ formation of rocks. The formation is situated on the slopes of the Coyote Buttes in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness of the Colorado Plateau.

The rest of this blog is a photographic explanation of our visit.

Two gals on the road.

I’m a textile artist with no apologies and when I’m not teaching, lecturing or being a grandma I take out the camera and capture the preciousness around me.
