    I love those Bali pops. They are the most wonderful array of colours. I have quite a collection but no project on the go with them yet.
    That seed pod is very interesting. I see a botanical series there Pam.

    Pam,
    I had one of these trees on my front lawn way back when. It is a magnolia grandiflora, the evergreen magnolia with large, saucer-shaped white flowers. It is written about in American novels, especially those situated in the South. They are often described as having a lovely fragrance, although I never detected any. The seed pods contain a lovely surprise upon opening – brilliant, shiny, scarlet seeds. Let yours dry and see if it will open for you.
