It’s interesting photographing the quilts, you hear so many different comments. One lady came up to me, she saw me taking a lot of photos. Â Â “Getting ideas for your class” she said.. Â Little does she know that I don’t need any more ideas, they flow far too fast and then there is the ‘pam’ signature…. none of these honey.

Houston International Quilt Market and Festival, Day 1.
I will take photos in sections and share them. These images are not for publication beyond this blog and I ask that you respect the right of the creator.
Where Women Gather – Houston Quilt Festival.
I’s almost upon us, the most memorable event in the Quilting Calendar.
There is a connection.
There is a connection.
It’s got nothing to do with age, religion, or even culturally, it’s a gut feeling and often a chance meeting turns into a gentle friendship.
“It’s nice to meet someone who gets it†was a comment made recently.
“Yes it is indeed”
Quilts from AQS Quilt week
Just a few more of the quilts I loved at the main show. With restricted time, I didn’t even get to the bubble to see some of the other exhibitions.
Walking in Paducah today
The streets were quiet because it’s  a Saturday, but it was my intention to walk and take photos without obstruction. I only had a short time to explore before I had more official duties, but today I decided on a typical breakfast in town.
Paducah – Day 4
I just love going to award ceremonies and dear friend Mark Sherman gave a very moving tribute to  AQS founder Bill Schroeder who passed away recently. What an amazing legacy he leaves.
Paducah, day 2
I jumped out of bed in excitement and anticipation. I just love sharing my ideas, meeting new people and encouraging everyone to take a small leap out of the box. Â On the road, you eat what you have in the fridge if you’re busy. Broccoli, cheese soup, yogurt, coffee and hummus. All pretty healthy, but not your normal form of sustenance for breakfast.
Paducah heaven, – first day.
It is the day before the quilt show begins, all is in readiness, the show is up, the vendors prepared and the participants excited and nervous.
Grandma’s Sunday.
I just decided to document the day as  I was deciding the best way to make this new project.
