I’m sharing a video I made yesterday. Yes, it’s a while since the International Quilt market and Quilt Festival, but I traveled to India immediately after Festival and didn’t get time to add photos. So there they are, a little after the fact. But Isolation gives me time to do things like this.

Let it flow past us.
Two weeks ago yesterday, I woke to the news that India was cancelling tourist visas, and our Textile Trip was cancelled.I was a little surprised, and, indeed, I could have made the deadline for Australians using the visa but, the American Tourists had their visas cancelled so, there was little point. I do admit that…
Where are we? What happens now?
I just don’t know. I just cancelled my flights for my second large trip to the USA. Fortunately Qantas is honouring both of my airfares and I can re-book when I need to. I have to cancel to get a re-fund or else I loose it all. I feel guilty that I’m enjoying my enforced…
Punta Cana
3 days of travel and now I’m here in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. The TV news is talking to me in the background, the light is mellow in the room. I’m in my Jamas and trying to stay awake just a little longer. I’ve done 3 days washing and hung it in the bathroom and…
Traveling today.
I’ve actually been traveling for two days, Iwrote this yesterday as I traveled. One day from Australia and I arrived at 6.00 am yesterday. I admit I slept a bit when I got to the hotel. I don’t think I could have done another 5 hours to Miami so I do it today. The art…
A little more of the Quilts from the Houston Quilt Festival.

Look out of the window and create a quilt.
This is what it looks like as you fly over Australia. Sometimes I can capture images, sometimes not. This time I flew to right through the centre of Australia from South the North and I captured this image. Come home and make the quilt. Finished.
Working through the process.
Still working on the Giraffe. To be honest I had some doubts after I coloured the background but I quite like it now and I have a lot more planned for it, by that I mean I need to darken the top two edges of the quilt so that your eyes focus on the image…
Bringing your travels back home.
I sit under a Kantha quilt of indeterminable age at night when I watch TV, made by someone in the magical world of invisible possibility. There’s a stack that is neatly folded by the big chair that the Grandies love to sit in, and each of them has a favorite quilt to sit under. They…
It’s cooler today.
For us, living in the Adelaide Hills, the temperature has dropped and it’s cool once again. There is a stillness in the garden and the agapanthus are almost in full bloom and I love sitting out amongst the foliage and my ‘things’ and working. It’s unreal that our country is in the grip of terrible…
