I looked around in surprise.
“Yes, you with the funny slippers on.”
Well I was the only person in he room with slippers on. In fact I was the only person in the entire room. The voice was talking to me.
All of a sudden there was a loud scrape as the drawer opened and out jumped an “A” with a blue sweater on.
It stood right in front of me with its hands own its hips, the leaf where it’s head should be jiggled.
“I’m and “A” with attitude” it said in a voice full of smiles.
Who are you”
This is the “A” in original story and now I have added their heads because we found them.!!! Its a long story.
Have you seen an “A’ with a blue sweater orange buttons and no head?
It’s scary I can tell you.
I figured it is a ‘she’ because she has a flower on her pocket. It wasn’t a big flower, but a cute little orange one.
“I’ve got Attitude” she said in a less than “A” voice.
“I can tell,” I said smiling. Suddenly I felt very comfortable and I began to enjoy the company of Miss “A”
I heard another scrabble.
Was that water I could hear?
The sound was faint but it was getting louder.
Splish, splash, splonk….
“Hum ….La de dum, Hummmmmmmm.”
Splish, Splash …
Where was it coming from?
Miss “A” for Attitude smiled and waved her spindly arms.
A long thread of wool began to unwind from her cardigan. I watched in fascination, what would happen if the rest of the wool unraveled.
Then another splash reminded me that there was water coming from the drawer … How could that be?
I watched as big plops of water slid out of the drawer and ran down onto the floor, just as if it has somewhere important to go. I pulled the drawer open gently .,,
How could it be, there was a man in a bath, in a drawer…. that’s not possible.
Miss “A” smiled a sweet smile. Every time she moved more wool unraveled from her sweater. She picked up the strand with her spindly fingers and crumpled the wool into her pocket.
The “B” in the bath was humming a very humitty tune.
More drips of water began to roll out of the drawer.
Miss “A” wound up a bit more of her sweater and smiled at me…
“He’s been in that bath for the past 8 year” she said in a twinkly smile.
and the story continues.
