This fabric in the bottom picture is just wonderful for the borders, it looks like mud flats to me…. I quilted around every small brown image… Fabric is by South Sea imports. M. M. Fab. The thread created wonderful contours, very similar to the ones I viewed from the plane. I did pleat some of the fabric, but it is difficult to see.The black and white fabric is a great contrast to the overall picture.
