Images of Alamogordo – Southern New Mexico Festival of Quilts

Next stop was to help some ladies prepare a quilt for a very special event in their daughters coming of age celebration. We’ve been invited to attend in July and it’s quite an honor. They showed me the Teepees they make and I was in awe, they are amazing structures and I would love to know how to make them.

Join me on a tour to Kenya. This is the experience of a lifetime.

I travel a lot and I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an experience as much as I did in Kenya last year. So we will repeat it with a little difference, it will be a small group and I will teach as we travel.

Quilts, Quandaries and now a little quiet time

I have a program on my iPad called Sketchmee and it converts a photo to a sketch. It enhances the color and I have learned so much from using this program. For instance, look at the way it has covered the shadow of the shoes… I love it.

The beauty of the gum blossom

I was in the middle of dinner, I looked out of the window and realised the light was just right. I gathered the cameras, and made a dash leaving the just begun dinner to go cold.
I wanted to catch the color, the texture and the beauty of the pink gum blossom.

Just hanging around.

We had a visitor all day today.

I’ve been working all day and its now midnight, This guy was just hanging around today and I took a series of photos of him which I think you might enjoy. So I will add them tomorrow.
