The show opened officially for the full day today and I’m told it was absolutely packed. Around noon, 2 million people descended on Houston for the Astros trade. The town turned Orange, I sort of thought it was for me, the roads and parks turned a bright shade of orange.

The temperature rose into the100’s today. I do love the heat, but it’s hard to sleep tonight, even the fan is struggling. It’s midnight and  began this blog some 5 hours ago, but tiredness took its toll and I retired only to be back up in the silence of the night, writing. The image below…

It’s got nothing to do with age, religion, or even culturally, it’s a gut feeling and often a chance meeting turns into a gentle friendship.

Just a few more of the quilts I loved at the main show. With restricted time, I didn’t even get to the bubble to see some of the other exhibitions.
Walking in Paducah today
The streets were quiet because it’s  a Saturday, but it was my intention to walk and take photos without obstruction. I only had a short time to explore before I had more official duties, but today I decided on a typical breakfast in town.
Paducah – Day 4
I just love going to award ceremonies and dear friend Mark Sherman gave a very moving tribute to  AQS founder Bill Schroeder who passed away recently. What an amazing legacy he leaves.
Paducah, day 2
I jumped out of bed in excitement and anticipation. I just love sharing my ideas, meeting new people and encouraging everyone to take a small leap out of the box. Â On the road, you eat what you have in the fridge if you’re busy. Broccoli, cheese soup, yogurt, coffee and hummus. All pretty healthy, but not your normal form of sustenance for breakfast.
Back on track. Bayeux, babies and blocks.
This week, I’m preparing photos to accompany my quilts at the Paducah Show. It’s quite exciting to present an exhibition such as this and I decided to actually create a portrait in thread rather than just add a photo of myself.
