Next stop was to help some ladies prepare a quilt for a very special event in their daughters coming of age celebration. We’ve been invited to attend in July and it’s quite an honor. They showed me the Teepees they make and I was in awe, they are amazing structures and I would love to know how to make them.

My interpretation is my art.
Goodness, my last post caused a lot of comment. I’ve just been able to get onto the internet and I’ve tried to go through the comments on FB, and on the blog. I appreciate the comments made, and yes, they are all valid. Everything I do is influenced by my lifestyle and my interpretation is my…
Join me on a tour to Kenya. This is the experience of a lifetime.
I travel a lot and I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an experience as much as I did in Kenya last year. So we will repeat it with a little difference, it will be a small group and I will teach as we travel.
I will teach you photography and how to use your images in textile art.
So much inspiration, visit the Empty Spools Seminar.
The alarm on the cell phone rang at 3.30 am, and then a few seconds later the shrill of the phone by the bed encouraged me to get up. I’m not complaining, I slept well, but it’s probably the part of travel I like the least. I enlisted the help of the bell boy and…

Sokittome – the idea and the process.
I could have appliquéd it but you all know I love to draw stuff so that’s what I decided to do. There will be appliqué on the quilt and quite a few embellishments but at this stage I’m just doing the drawings.
Quoth the raven nevermore Quilt is finished too.
The lack of Internet set me back a little yesterday but I did finish Geraldine and also “Quoth the Raven”
I’ve loved working on this Quilt. It was an ‘introduction back to the studio’ quilt.
