I spend hours on the plane, while I’m watching TV and even in bed designing on the ipad. (by the way I think every quilter needs an ipad) My mind is constantly challenged and technology has increased my desire to challenge myself even more as a Textile artist… I don’t think I should say I’m a quilter as such.. I’m an artist in textiles I love it. Its stimulating and challenging thanks to Technology.

I’m home and I’m humbled.
Jay has a carer 24 hours a day. He’s hooked up to dozens of wires it seems. His little tiny toes glow under the blankets and each movement captures your gaze. One tiny little arm escapes from his muslin swaddling blanket and its attached to a small board of wires, the other little hand reaches for freedom despite the efforts of the staff.

My Gift the 1776 Quilt, Heartache, Heritage and Happiness.
I just wanted to let you know that your lovely quilt, The 1776 Quilt: Heartache, Heritage and Happiness, did very well on its journey to Nebraska. It is now safely housed in our Isolation room, where new pieces rest for two weeks.The quilt is simply amazing – such an incredibly beautiful piece with exquisite workmanship. It truly is an outstanding gem in the Center’s collection.

I know I’m preaching to the converted but I’m artists with attitude and I just love the unpredictability of creating with textiles. The refining of the process comes with a little experience and the imprint of practice. Then again, you can never be certain of the finished project. So I just begin.
